    GLXP Competition

    Team SYNERGY MOON is competing in The Google Lunar X PRIZE, a $40 million international competition to safely land a robot on the surface of the Moon, travel 500 meters over the lunar surface, and send images and data back to the Earth. All teams must be at least 90% privately funded. There are currently 16 registered teams working toward landing on the Moon and completing the mission objectives. $10 million for Milestone Prizes has already been awarded to teams demonstrating technology required to complete the mission. The winning team will be awarded $20 million. The second team to complete the mission will be awarded $5 million. Another $5 million will be awarded in bonus prizes. The final deadline for winning the prize is December 31, 2017.
